A 15ct yellow gold Gimmel Ring.
Gimmel rings were often given as wedding rings in the 19th century.
The bands open up into two bands which remain joined, and which symbolise the two souls joined together, separate and yet inseparable.
The slide seamlessly together held by a tiny pin, the workmanship is just beautiful!!!
Often they are engraved with the couples names and dates!
This one is a smooth, slightly rounded high carat gold band, which rarely hasn’t been engraved!
It would be so perfect as a wedding band or as just an amazing piece of workmanship, that is easy to wear every day!
These are super rare!
