18TH CENTURY FRENCH RUBY CROSS

Fabulous French late 18th century 18ct gold Papillon cross!

The cross is set with with table cut Rubies that are a gorgeous pink berry colour.

The Papillon cross was worn in northern France from 1793 to 1815

The cross is made up of articulated sections

All the original pieces of the articulated cross and ‘butterfly’ slide are present which is rare to find!

Size approx: 12cm x 5cm

The pendant looks great on a velvet ribbon, but would also work on a gold chain!
