19TH CENTURY DIAMOND & BANDED AGATE SHELL PENDANT

A stunning mid 19th century shell pendant.

The large central shell is carved from banded agate. The organic chased channels reveal the wonderful tones of the agate.

The sculptural shell is surrounded by a high carat gold frame which is studded with six chunky old cut diamonds, and scrolls of gold.  

The reverse of the pendant is so charming, it has a beautiful shell design carved into the gold.

I love the attention to detail, and the quality of workmanship is second to none.
