A stunning pair of early 19th century paste star earrings.
I have never found any paste earrings that come close to these!
The centre of the stars have large old cut paste stones with seriously high crowns.
The stars have eight points made of triangular faceted pastes to match the centres.
The stones are set in a claw setting, and have a closed base metal back.
The earrings have been set with 9ct gold shepherds hooks.
In some lights the pastes have a slightly green tinge, similar to chrysoberyl, which looks so pretty when it hits the light!
The sparkle is insane!
They look so good worn, and the large scale makes the finishing touch to any outfit!
Super cool, super unusual
