19TH CENTURY GAURD CHAIN WITH HAND CLASP

A superb 18ct gold guard chain from the 19th century.

The chain is made of a detailed link which terminates with a wonderful clasped hand.

The hand is finely modelled and wearing a chased floral cuff.

A twist dog clip hangs from the clasped hand, which is perfect for adding charms or for fastening the chain.

 The chain is so versatile, it can be worn twice or three times round the neck, or clipped with the dogclip as the clasp for another look.
