19TH CENTURY GEORGE & THE DRAGON ENAMEL PENDANT

DESCRIPTION

Victorian period

This is a very cool enamel pendant depicting St George slaying the green dragon!
As typical with a lot of the Austro-Hungarian jewellery, the pendant is enamelled on both sides in multi colours.
There is a tiny pearl hanging from the base of the pendant.

Circa 1870 this is a Victorian piece, and although some of the detail has been lost over the years, It is still very beautiful and in good condition for the age of the piece.

The enamel is on silver, with a large silver bail.
