19TH CENTURY HAND PENDANT / BAIL IN 18CT GOLD

A gorgeous 18ct gold clasped hand bail / chain extender.

Possibly French, this bail depicts a clasped hand holding a foliate scroll from which a screw clip is attached.

This is perfect to use as a chain extender or to wear as a pendant to add charms to a chain.

The cuffed hand is engraved with the wording:

G.B.MTO.ECD

Underneath bears the date; 14th Oct 1840
