ANTIQUE 15CT GOLD & RUBY MULTI ‘FAMILY’ DISC LOCKET

A superb quality multi picture locket made of 15ct gold & set with rubies.

The disc locket has a beautiful fleur-de-lis emblem at the centre set with pinky red faceted rubies, which look so pretty against the buttery slightly matte yellow gold of the locket.

The locket is super slim, and opens to reveal a central leaf which can hold two photos, as well as a frame in the front and back of the locket so it can hold four photos in total!

Known as a family locket; The internals are so finely made, that there is just enough room for the photos which are held in place by inner frames, (note there is no glazing on the compartments), currently they hold duck egg blue card.

The reverse of the locket has a crisp hallmark for 15ct gold, the date mark for Chester 1909, and makers mark JH.

The chunky jump ring is also hallmarked fo 15ct gold.

The locket is in lovely condition and looks fantastic on a simple chain.
