The holy grail of bangles!!!!
This is a stunning antique horseshoe bangle made of 9ct gold and sterling silver.
This sought after design was popular at the end of the 19th century through to the early 20th century.
With the traditional four nails on one side and three on the other, the horseshoe is a symbol of good luck.
The horseshoe nails are depicted as raised super chunky silver rectangles, which makes the design look really contemporary. And they stand out again may the slightly rose patina of the 9ct gold.
The clever hinged design, closes around the wrist held in place by the 9ct gold belcher chain.
The inside of the bangle is engraved with the date ‘19th May 1916’
The outside is engraved lightly with gothic initials ‘MCD’.
These bangles are rare to find.
Looks epic alone or worn with a stack of different bangles.
Also can be worn as a supersized pendant!
