A super cute Edwardian Lucky Bean pendant.
The bean is made of silver with gorgeous bright turquoise guilloche enamel.
The bean hangs from a silver jump ring.
The bean looks gorgeous on a chain alone, or with a group of charms.
Lucky beans were popular during the Victorian and Edwardian periods.
The charms were inspired by the "sea beans" that were found occasionally washed up on European beaches after travelling on the ocean from far flung places.
These beans amazingly could still germinate after many months at sea, this led people to believe that they must be infused with powerful good luck. And have since been given as gifts to bring luck and good fortune.
