A chunky Victorian Whitby Jet Acorn pendant.

Circa 1880; The plump acorn has triangular carvings at the top to represent the cup and smooth jet for the nut.

Fitted with the original pegged bail and a 9ct gold large jump ring making it easy to add to even the thickest chain. 

The acorn was a popular symbol during the Victorian era.

They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.
