CHRYSOBERYL & RUBY SNAKE & HEART PENDANT

An absolutely gorgeous high carat gold snake head and heart pendant.

The snakes head is set with stunning faceted Chrysoberyl stones and has Ruby set eyes.

The snake carries a puffy filigree heart in his mouth! The heart is set with another faceted Chrysoberyl, and has a lovely glass locket on the reverse.

The combination of colours is divine.

It is super rare to find this type of pendant set with Chrysoberyl!

Circa 1860, this is a Victorian piece.

During the mid Victorian era, snake symbolism was extremely popular in jewellery.
