A pretty pair of 19th century agate earrings.

The centre of the earrings have domes of agate both with the natural colour variations from brick red through to white, each with its own individual pattern.

The agates are set in a high carat gold setting with decorative gold scrolls at the top and bottom.

The earrings are traditional ‘front to back’ design, so the 9ct gold prong passes from the back of the ear and fastens at the front. Which is actually very secure, and easy (once you get used to putting them on).

They are so dainty when worn, and light so comfortable to wear all day long.
