A gorgeous Victorian 9ct gold Acorn pomander pendant.

This supercool pendant is made of 9ct gold with a slight rose tint.

The acorn cup is perforated with tiny holes, and hinges open to reveal a cavity where you could place a keepsake.

Originally it would have been designed to hold a secented sponge or spices, which could be sniffed to mask the unpleasant smells of the time!

The acorn was a popular symbol from the Victorian era into the 20th century.

They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.

‘From the tiny acorn, a mighty oak tree can grow.’
