VICTORIAN LARGE TEARDROP PAVÉ TURQUOISE PENDANT

A superb Victorian pavé turquoise teardrop shaped pendant.

The large pendant is fully pavé set with bright blue turquoise cabochons, that are selected to fit the shape perfectly.

The stones have a very consistent colour, with only slight variations in hues of blue.

The reverse of the pendant is made of a flat 15ct gold back, which ensures the pendant sits well when worn.

This is the first teardrop shape pavé pendant I have found!
I love the large scale and the vibrant turquoise colour.

Circa 1870/80

Pavé turquoise jewellery was extremely popular from the mid to late Victorian period. It was used in pendants, bracelets, full necklaces and rings.
