A superb pair of double paste drop earrings.
Circa 1830/40; The design has a chunky oval old cut paste with a large faceted tear drop paste below.
The high domed faceted paste stones catch the light fantastically.
The stones are set in a traditional silver cut down foiled setting.
The setting is uncomplicated, letting the cut and sparkle of the stones take centre stage.
The shepherds hook wires are 9ct gold.
These look so good when worn! Who needs diamonds when the beauty of paste exists.
