A gorgeous pair of early Victorian paste single stone earrings.
Circa 1840; The high domed faceted paste stones are a vivid turquoise, which I have never seen before.
The colour is so stunning, and catches the light beautifully on the facets.
The stones are set in a traditional silver cut down setting which is uncomplicated, letting the cut and sparkle of the stones take centre stage.
The silver complements the vivid turquoise perfectly.
Likely converted from buttons or cufflinks, the earrings have been set with 9ct gold shepherds hook wires.
