A VICTORIAN 15CT GOLD LOVE HEART PENDANT

A stunning 19th century heart pendant with the most beautiful declaration of love.

The heart is engraved with the words:

‘OUVREZ MON (coeur) VOUS VERREZ CELLE QUE J’AIME’

Which translates as:

‘OPEN MY (heart) YOU WILL SEE THE ONE I LOVE’

When the locket opens it reveals a tiny mirror, so you really do see the one you love!

The turquoise heart is placed in the phrase instead of the word (heart/coeur) flanked by two tiny old cut diamonds.

The wording has a deep blue enamelling.

The pendant is in fantastic condition and looks great on a simple chain.
