GEORGIAN 15CT GOLD HEART LOCKET

A charming early 19th century puffy heart locket pendant.

Made of rich 15ct gold; the chunky heart has a studded surface with a raised twisted rope detail coiling around the studs.

The front of the heart has a small flower in the centre, set with garnet turquoise and pearl.

The stud work continues over the reverse of the heart, so the pendant looks great from all angles.

The heart opens to reveal the original glass panel which had a beautiful curve to the surface. Currently the locket has a black silk lining.

The heart hinge is on excellent condition, opening smoothly and closing securely.

Can be worn with the flower to the front or to the back for different looks.
