GEORGIAN CARNELIAN SHELL & HEART PENDANT

A stunning Georgian Carnelian shell pendant.

The bright orange Carnelian has been carved in the shape of a shell, perfectly reflecting the light along the scalloped ridges.

The shell is surrounded by a studded 15ct gold filigree setting, from which three tiny gold hearts are suspended.

The pendant hangs from a fine belcher and a large 15ct gold bail, making it easy to add to any chain.

This is a wonderfully pretty piece, circa 1810.

The rich gold and orange Carnelian look stunning together.

I love that the Carnelian is semi translucent, so looks so different depending on what it is worn with.
