A gorgeous Ouroboros snake 15ct gold split ring.
The Georgian split ring, circa 1820/30 is modelled as an Ouroboros snake biting his tail.
The ring has cross hatching along the snakes body, and a carved snakes head and eyes.
The split ring is in excellent condition, clipping closed securely, leaving virtually no gap.
This ring can be used to add charms to a chain, or, worn as a ring.
It makes the perfect stacker ring!
The Ouroboros has been a popular symbol since ancient times. Literally meaning ‘tail-devourer’.
The Ouroboros represented the concept of ‘eternity’ and ‘love everlasting’.
