ON HOLD This is a wonderful, early 19th century fob crafted in high carat gold.

Circa 1820/30; The fob contains a chunky faceted rock crystal in the shape of an octagon, with a finely carved intaglio of a Fox.

The Fox intaglio has great detail, and depicts the Family Crest of the Todd family.

The high carat gold is heavily chased in a floral pattern around the base and has beautifully strong reeded shoulders and bail, with a ball finial.

A chunky chain can fit through the bail to hang around the neck.

The family crest plate can be found in the ‘Fairbairns Book of family crests’

They describe:

Todd, a fox statant ppr., collared, and a chain therefrom reflexes over the back or, supporting with the dexter paw an escutcheon sa., charged with an étoile of the second’
