GEORGIAN OUROBOROS DOUBLE SNAKE BROOCH

This is an absolutely gorgeous double snake Georgian Ouroboros brooch.

The main snake is made of natural graduated pearls, and cabochon emerald paste eye

The second snake is coiled inside the pearl snake and is in etched high carat gold!
It’s an early 19th century piece! C.1810
The kidney bean shape locket in the centre is currently empty, so perfect for a personal keepsake to be added!
Or, keep it empty as it is FABULOUS!!!
It probable contained hair as a memorial brooch, when it was first created!
