GEORGIAN SHELL SCALLOPED CARNELIAN SCENT BOTTLE

A gorgeous Georgian scent bottle pendant made from bright orange Carnelian.

The Carnelian has been carved in the shape of a shell, which perfectly reflects the natural colour variations of the stone along the scalloped ridges.

The bottle has a hinged high carat gold filigree cap,

And hangs from the original chain and twisted gold bail.

This is a wonderful piece of history circa 1810.

The rich gold and orange Carnelian look stunning together.
