A super cool early 19th century fob with a wonderful coiled snake biting his tail.
The boggle eyed snake has beautiful crosshatch chasing along his body and tail to depict the scales.
The fob itself is made of two-tone 15ct gold with a beautifully reeded dome in a slight rose gold, and a zigzag pattern around the edge in a yellow gold.
The fob is set with a bright yellow faceted citrine, which is a gorgeous colour against the two golds.
The fob is the perfect size to wear on a simple fine chain, or with a bunch of charms.
The symbol of a snake biting his tail is known as an ‘Ouroboros’ which has been a popular symbol since ancient times. Literally meaning ‘tail-devourer’.
The Ouroboros represented the concept of ‘eternity’ and ‘love everlasting’.
