The natural (no heat) Kashmir Sapphire is a super high cabochon weighing approx 1.5ct.

It has the beautiful velvety quality that is characteristic of Kashmir sapphires.

Flashing a wonderful bright blue when the light catches.

Flanked by two brilliant cut diamonds with an approx total weight of 0.41 carats, VS 1/2 clarity and H/I colour.

The ring is such a cool design, and looks gorgeous alone or stacked with a bunch of gold rings.

I love how high the Sapphire is, allowing plenty of light in to show off the beautiful velvety blue colour!

Kashmir Sapphires are some of the world's most beautiful and rarest gemstones.

Desired for their sleepy velvety quality and distinctive bright blue ‘cornflour’ colour.

They were discovered high in the Zanskar region of the Himalayas in the 19th century.

Being the only known place to source these gems, they were mined intensively until 1889, exhausting the supply, which lead to an official halt to mining in the region.

These mines have now laid dormant for over 100 years.

Even though numerous attempts have been made since, to locate another deposit of these gems, it has been mostly unsuccessful.

This lack of supply and the beauty of the stones makes these Kashmir Sapphires super rare and desired worldwide
