A large French 18ct gold antique dog clip bail. 

Likely originally from a French chatelaine,

The dog clip is a really good size, and locks shut with a screw collar at the base.

It also is a swivel clip so will always sit as desired.

the large flat loop allows lots of different type and size chains to be used with this piece. 

Perfect to add a charm or a collection of charms to your necklace.

It’s also perfect to use as a chain extender.

Hallmarked with the eagle head on the dog clip and the bail, which is the French mark for 18ct gold.
