LARGE SCALE VICTORIAN SILVER ‘GARTER MOTIF’ LOCKET

A large scale Victorian silver locket.

The oval locket has a large garter buckle motif on the front and the back.

The garter motif was popular during the 19th century, representing strength, loyalty and an everlasting bond. 

The locket opens to reveal two glass panes, currently with a black grosgrain lining.

I love the super flat face of the locket and the slimline design, so it doesn’t feel bulky even though it’s large scale.

Looks epic worn with a chunky silver or gold curb.
