A super chunky Victorian silver horse hoof  locket

The locket is crafted in the shape of a shoed horse hoof.

The design details the horses frog and heel bulb as well as the horseshoe.

The sole area is stippled to create a textured surface, which looks great contrasting with the bright shiny silver horseshoe.

The shoe has the traditional 3 nails on one side 4 on the other, which is a symbol of Good Luck.

The pendant opens to reveal two glass lockets, one with silk grosgrain, the other with the original blue print of a building.

Perfect as it is, but also ready to add your own personal photos

The reverse and sides are fully chased with a foliate pattern.

The centre has a silver shield with the initials ‘AC or CA’. These could be the initials of a person or of the horse! 

This is the first time I’ve found one of these in silver!

Looks fab on a simple fine or chunky chain.

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.

The measurement will be in cm and inches.
We recommend you place a tape around your neck to see where the chain will sit.

JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
