NIELLO CHEQUERBOARD LOCKET

A 19th century Niello silver oval locket, circa 1880/90.

The locket has the traditional chequerboard design on the front and back, and It still has the original chequerboard bail.

The chequerboard in in very good condition.

Inside is space for pictures behind the glass and original bezels

Partial hallmark on the bail

Size approx 4cm x 2cm

Such a contemporary design, and looks fab on a gold chain.
