PAIR OF VICTORIAN WHITBY JET BANGLES

A fabulous matching pair of Victorian Whitby jet bangles!

Circa 1880, these are in wonderful condition, and so rare to have the pair!

The bangles are elasticated, and set with a carved disc depicting a stylised thistle leaf.

The thistle symbolises ‘protection’ and ‘pride’. 

Both are a medium size,  but elasticated so can fit a range of wrists.

Relaxed circumference approx: 16cm

Expanded circumference approx 20/21cm

Width approx: 2cm - 3.5cm at disc.

Weight of the pair approx: 43.9g
