A fine quality early 19th century Swiss Enamel pendant.
Circa 1830: the octagonal pendant has wonderful black enamel detailing on the front and back panel.
A central urn is surrounded by floral swags encompassing a Swiss mountain scene on the front and the initials ‘RG’ on the reverse.
The pendant opens to reveal a mirror and compact compartment which closes securely, it could be used to keep a treasure close to you when worn.
The hinge is sprung and opens with a black enamel push button.
The pendant hangs on an enamel and gold chain with a ring, so the pendant can be held by hand or have a chain added to wear as a necklace!
