A super cool pair of Victorian plaited hair creole earrings c1860.

The hair has been woven beautifully to create puffy creole earrings.

Set with original 9ct gold wires.

Hair earrings are super rare, so it is great to find a pair in wonderful condition.

Hair jewellery was used to create mourning pieces to commemorate the death of a loved one.

Although hairwork existed prior to the Victorian era, it was this period that saw it flourish.

It was used to keep a loved ones memory close
