19TH CENTURY MOTHER OF PEARL & 18CT GOLD BASKET PENDANT

A 19th century, Mother of Pearl basket pendant, with an 18ct gold top and handle. Circa 1830/40 

The Mother of Pearl has been beautifully carved to look like a wicker picnic basket.

The basket is in good condition with a hinged high carat gold top that opens on both sides of a central hinge.

The top is finely chased with a foliate design.

The handle is a twisted rope in  high carat gold

Looks gorgeous on a simple chain.

Size approx: L: 2cm x W: 0.9cm x H: 2cm
