A superb pair of Victorian acorn earrings made of 18ct gold.

The plump acorns have gorgeous studded texture representing the cup, and smooth gold for the nut.

Circa 1860-1880; The super sleek design looks so contemporary, yet they are over 100 years old. I love how simple these are compared to the more elaborate acorn earrings that I have sourced in the past.

The acorns are set with 15ct gold shepherds hook wires.

The acorn was a popular symbol during the Victorian era.

They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.

‘From the tiny acorn, a mighty oak tree can grow.’
