A gorgeous Victorian high carat gold, diamond and enamel cockerel pendant.

The cockerel has a flame red enamel comb and wattle, and a yellow enamel beak.

His entire head is encrusted with sparkling rosecut diamonds, and he has a garnet cabochon eye.

The cockerel or rooster was a popular motif during the Victorian era.

They were seen as a symbol of courage, strength and resilience.

The cockerels crow at dawn is seen as a new start and a triumph over the darkness of the night.
