The coolest hair necklace I have found so far!

This is a stunning Victorian memorial necklace made of woven, twisted hair.

The necklace has a high carat gold fitting which is enamelled with a gorgeous floral design in black, white and gold.

The fitting bears the text ‘REG’d’ on the reverse which confirms this design was registered to a particular maker and therefore could not be copied. 

 From the fitting hangs a fully enamelled high carat gold twist dog clip, perfect for adding pendants.

The twisted hair is interspaced with six high carat gold and enamel matching beads!

The quality of work is second to none!

Simply a wonderful piece of mourning jewellery!

Hair jewellery was used to create mourning pieces to commemorate the death of a loved one.

Although hairwork existed prior to the Victorian era, it was this period that saw it flourish.

It was used to keep a loved ones memory close
