A supersized pair of Victorian 9ct gold acorn earrings.

These are the largest pair I have found so far!

Each earring has a huge plump acorn hanging from two beautifully chased leaves.

The cup is represented by a stippled texture, and the nut by smooth gold.

The acorns are hollow so they are super light and therefore really comfortable to wear.

Although made of 9ct gold, the earrings have a bright and strong gold bloom, making them appear higher in carat.

The earrings shepherds hook wires are 9 carat gold.

Circa 1860-1880; The acorn was a popular symbol during the Victorian era.

They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.

‘From the tiny acorn, a mighty oak tree can grow.’
