VICTORIAN MALACHITE & SILVER ANCHOR PENDANT

A large scale Victorian silver and malachite anchor pendant.

The anchor has inlayed ovals of malachite, surrounded by silver that is chased with a wonderful foliate pattern.

The anchor has a silver rope twisting around the anchor from the top ring to the bottom.

The jump ring is also a rope twist design, and is a large size, so fits even the chunkiest chain.

Such a cool design, and a fantastic scale that makes a real impact when worn.

This is the first time I’ve found one with malachite!

The victorians saw the anchor as a symbol of hope, steadfastness and calm.
