A mini Victorian Masonic ball pendant.
Circa 1890, the mini sphere is much smaller in scale than the usual Masonic balls, making it super unique!
The ball opens and unfolds into a cross shape made up of six pyramids.
Each face of the pyramids is hand engraved with a unique combination of Masonic symbols.
This one includes: The eye of providence, Anchor, Skull & Crossbones and blazing star amongst many others.
The cross folds up perfectly into a ball, and is held closed by four 9ct gold arms that clip securely into place.
Originally these orbs were attached to pocket watches of Freemasons.
Non assuming to the average person, they were a great way for freemasons to discreetly identifying one another.
Looks super cool on any chain
