A stunning Victorian silver multi acorn collar necklace.
The chunky biker style belcher chain has a mini acorn attached to every link.
Each acorn is completely 3D, so the chain can be worn either way up.
With a stipple chasing over the cups and smooth silver to represent the nuts, these tiny acorns look super cool running the entire way around the necklace.
The collar has its original extender which has acorns either side of the chain. This can be used to extend the chain from approx 18” to just under 19.5”, or, used as a centre drop to add your favourite pendant.
The chain has two silver bolt rings, making it easy to change the chain between the two styles.
The chain has a kite registration mark which means it can be accurately dated to 16th May 1879, which is when the design was registered.
The acorn was extremely popular symbol during the Victorian period; They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.
‘From the tiny acorn, a mighty oak tree can grow.’
