VICTORIAN WHITBY JET ACORN EARRINGS

A super cool, super chunky pair of Victorian Whitby Jet earrings.

The earrings have stylised flower centres and a scalloped edge, with the coolest chunky acorn drops.

The plump acorns have crosshatched carvings at the top to represent the cup and smooth jet for the nut.

Circa 1860-1880.

The earrings are fitted with 9ct gold Shepherds hooks.

The acorn was a popular symbol during the Victorian era.

They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.
