A super cool pair of Victorian Whitby Jet Acorn earrings.

The plump acorns are a near pair; one has circular carvings and the other a cross hatch carving at the top to represent the cup and both have smooth jet for the nut.

Circa 1860-1880.

Fitted with 9ct gold Shepherds hooks

 The acorn was a popular symbol during the Victorian era.

They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.
