A super stylish Victorian Bramah key pendant.
Made of a dark almost gunmetal base metal.
The key has the Bramah signature incised castle turret bit end, a sleek shaft and a simple bow.
The design is so clean and simple.
It looks fantastic on a simple chain.
The Bramah lock was invented by Joseph Bramah in 1784.
It became famous as the first key and lock to be ‘unpickable’.
The Bramah locks were used for many purposes, but very often for jewellery boxes.
The keys would be worn around the owners neck disguised as a piece of jewellery.
I love key jewellery, and the bramah design is a favourite.
