A pretty mid Victorian 15ct gold locket pendant.
The bright oval locket has fine granulation work which was typical of the archeological revival jewellery during 1860/70’s.
The locket has granulated stripes with a repeated quatrefoil granulated pattern covering the front and back of the locket, which makes it really tactile.
The locket opens using two ball finals at the edge to reveal two glass panels currently filled with duckegg blue grosgrain silk.
The locket hangs from the original fleur-de-lis shaped bail.
Looks so pretty on a simple chain
