An unusual continental musical fob made of 18ct gold.

This unique fob has four cockerels (which were a popular motif in France), with stylised tail feathers that join creating the frame of the fob.

The base has a pretty country scene of birds, dogs and foliage.

The top of the fob acts as the key, which twists to wind up the hidden musical box which is in the base of the fob.

The tune plays a charming short melody.

The switch at the front can be slid to stop or start the tune, however, it sometimes plays till the end regardless.

This supersized fob is likely French, from the Charles X period, circa 1830.

These novelty fobs were created for wealthy society members as an expensive toy, and are now extremely rare to find.

The cockerel or rooster was a popular motif from the 19th century.

They were seen as a symbol of courage, strength and resilience.

The cockerels crow at dawn is represents a new start and a triumph over the darkness of the night

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.

Necklaces

All The Old Cut chains and necklaces have the total length detailed in the description.
The measurement will be in cm and inches.
We recommend you place a tape around your neck to see where the chain will sit.
Below is a basic guide to show some popular lengths – note, everyone’s neck is different, so this is just a basic guide.
