A superb 19th century glass intaglio pendant of a ‘Dionysian Bull’
The deep red glass intaglio depicts a Dionysian bull with a garland of Ivy around his body and his head bowed, walking upon a thyrsus the staff of the Bacchanalia (which was a drunken Roman festival)
The intaglio is set in a chunky 14ct gold frame
The glass intaglio is after the original by Hyllus.
