19TH CENTURY LARGE SCALE PASTE HEART PENDANT

A superb large scale 19th century puffy heart pendant.

The front of the pendant is fully pavé set with chunky old cut paste stones, with a large cushion cut paste at the centre. All chosen to fit the heart perfectly.

The stones are set in silver, which was typical of this period, and the back of the heart has  a gold wash.

The heart hangs from a gorgeous paste bail that is set with a further three cushion cut pastes!

The scale is epic, this is the best example I have seen of a paste heart! The photos don’t actually do it justice!

CONDITION

Very good, some stones are slightly darker and have discolouration due to age, some of the gold has worn from the back of the heart leaving the silver visible - see photos and video for full condition details.
