ANTIQUE 18CT GOLD & DIAMOND CHUNKY CIGAR BAND RING

A lovely wide 18ct gold antique cigar band ring dated 1919.

The chunky band has a star set old cut diamond at the centre which sparkles beautifully.

The band measures approx 0.8cm wide, so looks really good worn alone, or stacked with anther rings!

The ring has a really crisp hallmark for Birmingham. 1919, with the makers mark ‘S.U.Ltd’, and the design registration number ‘B4623’

Cigar bands are known as such as they mimic the decorative gold paper bands that were found on premium cigars. These rings became extremely popular at the beginning of the 20th century!

I love how modern it looks even though it’s over 100 years old!
