A super cool French ‘Porte Bonheur’ lucky charm pendant.

The silver pendant with white enamel, has a chunky pig strolling below the words ‘Porto Bonheur’ which literally translates to ‘Lucky Charm’.

The Pig (or boar), has historically been a symbol of prosperity, wealth, and good luck in many cultures, and has been a popular symbol in jewellery since the 19th century.

This disc has 900 stamped on the reverse to determine the silver quality.

the pendant is from the late 19th to early 20th century. 

A supercool good luck charm.
